FACT responds to global COVID-19 pandemic to protect the safety of its volunteer inspectors and program personnel by implementing virtual inspections. FACT publishes joint statement with the ASTCT, CIBMTR, ISCT, and EBMT stating that acts of racism are inexcusable and that as a community, we are committed to critical initiatives to move toward equality in transplantation, the cellular and gene therapy workforce, and in access to lifesaving therapies.
FACT celebrated its 25th anniversary. Eighth Edition of FACT-JACIE International Standards for Hematopoietic Cellular Therapy Product Collection, Processing, and Administration is published. First program to complete Step One of the FACT-JACIE Stepwise Accreditation program awarded Certificate of Completion. FACT completes transition from 25-year relationship with the University of Nebraska Medical Center to become an independent entity enabling the organization to better respond to progress and advancements in the rapidly changing field of cellular therapy.
